WHAT IS PDO OR POLYDIOXANONE?

• Chemically, polydioxanone is a polymer extruded into fibers for production of sutures

How it works:

PDO THREAD LIFT TECHNIQUE

AFTER TREATMENT THE PATIENT MAY FEEL

  • After the treatment swelling and soreness may take place for 1-2 days. Discomfort will dissipate over time.
  • The treated area may alienated and/ or pulling feeling may be there.
  • Each patients will have different reaction and bruise.
  • Sufficient water intake and sleep will help absorption of bruise to the blood vessel.
  • Redness will last about 1-2 hours.
  • Swelling disappears over night.
  • Internal bleeding or bruise will disappear in 5 to 7 days.
  • Skin feeling will return normal in 3 days.

POST TREATMENT CARE

  • Do not rub or wash the treated area for approximately 24 hours after treatment.
  • Use moist cloth to clean the treated area.
  • Don’t take any non steroidal anti- inflammatory medications drugs , Aspirin or anti- histaminic drugs after treatment.
  • Avoid use of any anti inflammatory preparation topically on the treated area.
  • Avoid swimming and sauna for next 3-4 days after treatments.
  • Sun-protection and regular moisturization is advised after treatment
  • CONTRA-INDICATIONS

  • Pregnancy.
  • Prone to keloid scarring.
  • Have a history of poor wound.
  • Taking anti-seizure medication.
  • Herpes Simplex in any area of the skin within the last 31 days.
  • Non-compliance (Patients who are unwilling to follow the post‐treatment instructions).
  • Unrealistic expectations.
